Meet Mikey the Monkey, your guide to making the right start.
This course is the ideal start for children who have just begun to learn English and who have a minimum amount of knowledge. They will practise their speaking and listening skills, learning simple dialogues and key words. They will be able to explore their creativity through arts and crafts work and will have great fun playing English games.
They will learn how to say hello and to ask and answer a few short questions so that they can have a basic social exchange. They will learn a few basic word groups like colours, numbers and classroom objects and start to become familiar with the sounds of English.
Climbers 1 can stand alone for a one-week course or be taught side-by-side with Climbers 2 on a two-week course.

This is the perfect course for children who feel confident using a few basic words and expressions in English. They will be taught a range of new words and phrases related to new topic groups, including countries, animals and the letters of the alphabet. They will learn about the seasons of winter and summer, and how to describe weather, clothes and food related to those periods of the year.
As with Climbers 1 this course is still very much focused on listening and speaking. At this stage the children are not only using some common words, but are also practising some phrase level question and answer, learning to recognise the intonation of questions.
Climbers 2 can stand alone for a one-week course or be taught side-by-side with Climbers 1 on a two-week course.
