Just as young people change a great deal throughout their secondary school years, so the English in Action General English courses for secondary age students evolve as the levels progress. At the lower levels, when students are less comfortable with speaking English, we focus on improving speaking fluency and building confidence. As the levels go up we add new challenges, with more discussions on up-to-the-minute topics, more cultural input and an increased emphasis on vocabulary development.

This is our standard programme, but adaptations can be made to suit your needs and/or timetable.
At English in Action we understand that no two groups are ever the same, and that you may wish to make some adaptations to our standard programme for your students: you may want formal presentations instead of a show, have an idea for a lesson topic, or want the students to do their projects on something you have been studying in class. Our academic department is always happy to hear from you and discuss how your ideas and specific needs can be integrated into the programme.
