Course Introduction and Orientation (Single Module)
The first session of the week is used to identify the personal aims and objectives of the course participants and to preview what will be covered during the week. It is also a chance for participants to get to know the trainer and to establish good working relationships through some fun ice-breaking activities.
Materials Design (Single Module)
In this module participants will consider the benefits and challenges of developing your own materials, look at a framework for designing and evaluating materials, and discuss ways of integrating authentic material. This module is preparation for a lesson planning task.
Lesson Planning and Peer Teaching (2 x Double Modules)
Building on the work in the Materials Design module, participants will work together to plan short teaching sessions based on input from the first part of the week. These will be delivered to the group on the final day. All participants will act as both teachers and students during the Peer Teaching Sessions and you will be expected to provide constructive feedback to co-participants.
Course Reflection (Single Module)
The final session will be a chance for participants to reflect on the aims and objectives identified at the start of the course and to provide feedback to the trainer about their experience.
